Denise Kay, E-RYT 500  (The Yoga Instructor)

I was a professional dancer and dance instructor for 20 years. Throughout my career as a modern dancer and dance teacher I became fascinated with the mind, body connection of movement and how it relates to our well-being. I studied a variety of movement modalities including various styles of yoga and through vinyasa yoga (linking movement through the breath) found the movement modality that brings the spirit of each one of us to the connection of all. I became certified with Raji Thron of Yoga Synthesis in 1999 and hold a 500-hour certification in Dynamic Yoga with Delia Quigley. In May of 2010 I became certified with Elysabeth Williamson in Partner Based Yoga where the blend of Thai massage and yoga come together creating classes in Compassion, Trust and Sharing. I studied with Anodea Judith in 2013 and became certified to teach Chakra based yoga. I have  studied Yoga AS Medicine with Dr. Timothy McCall and Eliana Moreira bringing my teaching to a different level. I am the co-founder of The Ha-Tha Yoga Method Teacher Training with Delia Quigley. Presently, I teach daily vinyasa style yoga classes based upon the 5 Techniques of Yoga.

Denise Kay, LMT  (The Massage Therapist)

As a professional  dancer, I began looking for ways to create an income in a field that would work with my dance schedule. As a young child I enjoyed giving my family members especially my father shoulder and head massages. Everyone said that for a young girl I had great hands. With my Fathers encouragment I entered into a swedish massage school. Now over 35 years later and many other courses in the healing arts, I have become even more grateful for the work that I do. I have studied many forms of the healing arts from nutrition, to energy work, to various massage modalities including Thai Yoga Massage, Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Barefoot Yomassage. I believe that yoga and massage should be a part of everyones life to create a balance between the Mind and Body to help restore, and heal from the pressure of the world in which we live in.
